How to Make a Water Payment

Checks

Please write your telephone number and the service address, if different than the address on your check, for accurate credit. Payment will be recorded on the date received-not the date it is mailed or the date the check is written. Postmarks are not accepted.

Checks are accepted only as a conditional payment. If not honored by bank, water tax is unpaid and subject to penalties and/or interest. The Township will assess a $30.00 fee each time a check or debit is returned to us unpaid. Future payments will be applied to outstanding returned check charges prior to crediting your account.

To Pay by Mail

Make checks payable and mail to Frenchtown Water at 2744 Vivian Rd., Monroe, MI 48162. Please do not send cash. If a receipted copy is desired, you must enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your check.

To Pay in Person

Bring your water bill with you to the Treasurer’s Department along with payment, or use the after hours drop box.

After Hours Drop Box

Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Postmarks are not accepted. We encourage payments in the locked night deposit box located left of the main entrance doors under the canopy at the Township Hall on Vivian Road. If you desire a stamped receipt, please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope with your payment.

Billing Cycle

We are currently on a quarterly billing cycle. Water bills are mailed in January, April, July and October. If a quarterly bill is difficult for your budget, please remember that you may make payments on your account at any time.

Should you need to make payment arrangements, please contact us BEFORE you receive a shut-off notice.
